ADVANCED NURSE ASSISTANT TRAINING PROGRAM (ANATP)(HYBRID)

PROGRAM SUMMARY

A.BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INSTITUTION

City College of Education, Inc, is a school that is committed to training individuals to become providers of care of people of all ages, either in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers or in client’s individual homes. In order to achieve these objectives, City College of Education, Inc, has set up a hybrid training program that will prepare individuals for his/her role in health care in as little as 5-7 weeks.

B.THE HYBRID TRAINING PROGRAM AT CITY COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, INC

A hybrid program is essentially a college program that combines elements of online learning and traditional learning. Instead of taking every class in a classroom on campus, you’ll have the chance to take up to half of the credits that you need or even more through online classes. Many of these programs require that you take some standard classes on campus, which ensures that you have an understanding of introductory courses in the program or course of study before you move up. These classes have some big benefits for students. City College of Education has an experienced faculty with diverse educational and clinical backgrounds and knowledge in online classes.

Not all of our programs of study have a hybrid option for now except the ANATP. While you may have the chance to take a few classes online and some at the school campus, our ANATP hybrid program has an onsite training requirement,  refers to the time a student spends in the college’s campus taking traditional classes including laboratory studies. This is our institution’s way of ensuring that a student spends some time on the campus. At City College of Education, Inc, the onsite component requires a student to spend at least half of the training program or course of study on campus, or it may require that a student take of half the classes needed to graduate in a traditional classroom setting.

C.THE PROGRAM RATIONAL AND PURPOSE

The purpose of this program is to establish An Advanced Nurse Assistant/Aide Training Program for students who have already done the Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program (BNATP), who are a far distance to come to the traditional class at the school campus and also have to work or take care of their families while attending classes online at their convenience time. The student will cut down on the amount of paper to waste, and you may even save money on textbooks because you can access your course materials online. Finishing a program that combines traditional learning with online learning can also help students finish program requirements for graduation faster. City College of Education ANATP, a hybrid course of study will lets students split their time between taking classes online and taking traditional classes offline. These programs will let students save on tuition and fees, textbooks, school supplies and even their transportation costs.

This Program is established under the approval and supervision of the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) to train interested students who are already certified nurse assistants working under the supervision of registered nurses. There is a general need for advanced nurse assistant in the State of Illinois and our trained certified nurse assistants will be able to meet this need.
